Recipe for Change

We would like to congratulate one of our clients Grant Thornton International for being awarded “Network of the Year” at the prestigious annual International Accounting Bulletin awards in March.

The ceremony took place at the Chartered Accountants Hall in London and was attended by more than 90 industry leaders. As part of the judging process firms were invited to demonstrate their strengths in a number of areas including: evidence of top-level network-wide audit quality, a strengthening position in key strategic markets and strong industry leadership. The winners were then selected by trade experts, including ICAS President Sir David Tweedie, ACCA Technical Director Sue Almond and Wraggle & Co’s Partner and Head of Accounting and Actuarial Liability Jane Howard.

Gernot Hebestreit, member of Grant Thornton International's leadership team, commented: “I am delighted that Grant Thornton International has been recognised as Network of the Year. This award follows a considerable commitment to grow our network with firms that help dynamic organisations unlock their potential for growth by providing meaningful, actionable advice through a broad range of services”.

2012 was a year of double digit growth which placed Grant Thornton as the sixth largest accounting network globally. The firm increased its workforce by 14% to 35,809 in 124 countries.
